BIMONTHLY WATER RATES
You will receive six water bills per year from DSRSD, one every other month. Your bill is a combination of consumption charges (based on the amount of water used) and fixed charges (the same on every bill). Your total bill is the sum of applicable charges in Table A + Table B + Table C. The water rates shown below took effect on January 1, 2010.
Table A – Consumption Charges for the Cost of Water and Power
These volume-based charges cover the cost of water purchased from Zone 7 and power. The rates DO NOT change during a Declared Water Shortage.

Residential Rate Examples top

Residential customers can offset the impact of higher rates charged during water shortages by using water as efficiently as possible. The DSRSD Board of Directors declared a Stage 1 Water Shortage on July 1, 2009 and asked customers to voluntarily use 20% less water. These examples of low, medium, and high water use show how much you can reduce your water bill by the achieving the conservation goal.
