Candidate Filing Period Opens Today for DSRSD Directors
The filing period opens today, to run for one of two seats on the DSRSD Board of Directors, and closes on Aug. 10. DSRSD subsidizes the filing cost because candidates must file in both Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Candidates pay $250 to file in each county, instead of $450 per county. To be eligible, a candidate must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old, and a registered voter residing within the District’s boundaries. The District will hold a Candidate Briefing from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, in the Boardroom, 7051 Dublin Blvd. Prospective candidates will receive an overview of DSRSD and have an opportunity to ask questions. Refreshments will be provided. This term expires in 2022. Details about serving on the DSRSD Board of Directors can be found at the DSRSD Elections webpage.
