DSRSD Candidate Filing Period Extended
Candidates for Board Have Five More Days to File
Because one of two incumbents is not running for re-election, the filing period to run for the Dublin San Ramon Services District Board of Directors has been extended to 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 15. At the July 17 Board meeting, Director Pat Howard announced his intention to retire from the Board after 14 years of service. During his tenure, the District opened the Jeffrey G. Hansen Water Recycling Plant in 2006, which remains an incredibly successful venture for DSRSD. The District subsidizes election filing costs because candidates must file in both Alameda and Contra Costa Counties; candidates pay $250 for each county. To be eligible, a candidate must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old, and a registered voter residing within the District’s boundaries. This term expires in 2022. Details can be found on the DSRSD Elections web page.
