PLEASANTON (September 25, 2019)—The public is invited to gain some insight not only in how a wastewater treatment plant operates, but also in how major expansions and improvements are coordinated along with business as usual.
The Dublin San Ramon Services District is currently expanding and improving its primary sedimentation tanks at the Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility, in order to treat more wastewater by enlarging one of four existing tanks and adding a fifth tank.

The next public tour is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 16, at the Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility, 7399 Johnson Drive, Pleasanton. Tours last 60 to 90 minutes and are open to ages 10 and older.
The facility treats wastewater from Dublin, southern San Ramon, and Pleasanton to protect public health and the environment. Tour participants will learn how DSRSD recovers important resources from wastewater, including recycled water for irrigation and construction as well as methane for generating electricity. The tour also highlights rewarding career opportunities in the industry.
Reservations are required. To sign up, visit www.dsrsd.com/tour to fill out a Tour Request Form or call 925-875-2399 to reserve a spot.
