DSRSD Celebrates National Public Works Week

Post Date:05/15/2025 4:00 pm

DUBLIN, CA (May 15, 2025) – From May 18 to May 24, Dublin San Ramon Services District (DSRSD) is joining more than 32,000 communities across the country in celebration of National Public Works Week. Each year, National Public Works Week highlights how public works professionals work in the background to advance quality of life for all. This year’s theme, “People, Purpose, Presence,” highlights the constant presence of public works professionals who serve our community by providing crucial public services like water, wastewater, and recycled water treatment and delivery.

DSRSD will celebrate the week by demonstrating use of the District closed-circuit television (CCTV) truck at “San Ramon Truck Time” on May 17 (https://trucktimesanramon.org/) and by sharing stories of DSRSD staff on the District’s website and social media pages. We invite the public, especially those interested in a career in public works, to discover more about how DSRSD employees began their journeys in the industry on the DSRSD website at www.dsrsd.com/careers/working-here/people-behind-the-pipes#!/, on Facebook at www.facebook.com/DublinSanRamonServicesDistrict, on Twitter at www.twitter.com/DSRSDnews.

Founded in 1953, Dublin San Ramon Services District serves 192,000 people, providing potable and recycled water service to Dublin and the Dougherty Valley area of San Ramon, wastewater collection and treatment to Dublin and south San Ramon, and wastewater treatment to Pleasanton (by contract). About National Public Works Week

Since 1960, National Public Works Week has been celebrated during the third week of May by communities across North America, in recognition of the importance of public works in an organized society.
