The Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations Supervisor plans, organizes, and provides direction and oversight for the operation and ongoing maintenance of primary and secondary wastewater treatment, advanced wastewater treatment via sand filtration, micro-filtration and reverse osmosis, sludge thickening, anaerobic digestion, as well as LAVWMA (Livermore-Amador Valley Water Management Agency) export pumping and facultative sludge lagoon stabilization with dedicated land disposal; plans, manages, and coordinates the operations and maintenance functions of the division; ensures that functions meet all applicable laws, regulations, and District policies; and fosters cooperative working relationships with intergovernmental and regulatory agencies. The Water/Wastewater Systems Lead Operator plans, coordinates and implements a comprehensive operations, maintenance and repair program for DSRSD's potable water facilities; provides lead direction to assigned staff; sets priorities and directs the work of assigned staff on a project or day-to-day basis; performs the full range of work in support of District system installation, inspection, preventive and corrective maintenance and repair activities, including heavy equipment and stationary and mobile equipment operation; and performs special project work related to capital improvements.
