Rebates & Freebies

Dublin and Dougherty Valley residents can receive rebates for removing large sections of their water-greedy lawn and replacing it with low-water plantings. Please note: customers must apply and receive approval for this rebate before beginning landscaping.

Who can Apply for this Rebate?

• This rebate is available for single family homes and multi-family properties in Dublin and the Dougherty Valley area of San Ramon
• Customers must have a water account in good standing

How Much Will I Receive?

• $2 per square foot of lawn converted, up to $3,000
• Rebate will appear as a credit on your water bill

Basic Program Requirements

• The lawn area that you replace must currently be irrigated through a sprinkler system. The existing sprinkler system must be converted to drip irrigation, removed, or capped off as part of the conversion.
• You must convert a minimum of 100 square feet of front lawn or 200 square feet of backyard lawn.
• You must replace the lawn with low-water plants that meet the requirements of the program. The plants must cover at least 50% of the area once fully mature.
• This program does not rebate artificial turf, hardscapes that have been mortared into place, labor costs, or sales tax.

• This rebate is available for residential properties in Dublin and the Dougherty Valley area of San Ramon
• Customers must have a water account in good standing

How Much Will I Receive?

• Up to $200
• Rebate will appear as a credit on your water bill

Basic Program Requirements

• Only clothes washer models on the qualifying appliance list are eligible for the rebate.
• Rebate application and a copy of the sales receipt must be submitted within 60 days of purchase.

• Customers must have a water account in good standing.

How Much Will I Receive?

• Up to $125
• Rebate will appear as a credit on your water bill

Basic Program Requirements

• Your property must currently have an in-ground irrigation system and an existing controller.
• Single-family homes must have a minimum of 500 square feet of lawn and a minimum of four irrigation stations.
• Sales tax and shipping, installation, and programming costs are not rebated.
• Rebate application, copy of receipt, and photos of the installed controller and programming settings must be received within 60 days of purchase.

Who can Apply for this Rebate?

• This rebate is available for residential properties in Dublin and the Dougherty Valley area of San Ramon
• Customers must have a water account in good standing

How Much Will I Receive?

• 50% of the pool cover cost, up to $100
• Rebate will appear as a credit on your water bill

Basic Program Requirements

• The pool cover must cover at least 75% of the pool.
• Mesh, liquid, ring, and second-hand pool covers do not qualify for this rebate.
• Non-permanent above ground pools do not qualify for this rebate.
• Rebate application, dated photo of installed pool cover, and a copy of the sales receipt must be submitted within 60 days of purchase.

Dublin San Ramon Services District offers a range of water-saving plumbing retrofit fixtures to its customers at no charge to make conserving water even easier.

What devices can I receive?

Customers can receive any of the following items. There is a limit of 4 per household, unless otherwise stated.

• Kitchen Sink Aerators
• Low-Flow Showerheads
• Toilet Dye Tabs
• Shower and Sink Flow Meter Bag (limit one per household)
• Garden Hose Nozzle (limit 2 per household)

Who can receive devices?

This program is open to customers who receive a water bill from Dublin San Ramon Services District. These customers are in Dublin and the Dougherty Valley area of San Ramon. 

How to Pick Up Devices

Visit the Dublin San Ramon Services District Customer Service counter at 7051 Dublin Blvd., Dublin to pick up your devices. Our business hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

DSRSD issues a credit on the applicant’s water account. For the lawn conversion program, rebated funds are credited after all criteria are met. For all other rebates, funds are credited after the rebate application is approved.

If it’s been more than 10 weeks and you haven’t seen a credit on your bill or been notified of a problem with your application, contact DSRSD Customer Service at (925) 828-8524 or customerservice@dsrsd.com.

Because Dublin San Ramon Services District bills every two months, it can take up to 10 weeks for a rebate credit to appear on your account.
